Chicago
I missed Nana Visitor in Chicago when the show came through D.C. on tour, opting instead to see a then relatively unknown cast in the tour of Martin Guerre, a decision I'll certainly never regret. However, I did get to rectify the situation in my trip to NYC a couple years later. I met up with my friend Lisa, and off we went... It was a very wiiiiiiindy day, so please excuse my hair... ;-) And yes, dudes, Lisa is in SHORT SLEEVES in the middle of October on a day that felt more like December. :-P Anyway, sadly, we missed P.J. Benjamin after the show... but I did see him before the show while waiting for Lisa and talking to the gal selling programmes who, miraculously, is also from Maryland. Very sweet guy... We actually asked the security guard for him afterwards, and he instructed us to ask in the room past the stage door... So we went in and asked, and I think the lady thought we knew him or something and asked if we wanted to leave a message for when he came back for the evening show... We didn't, but whatever... He rocked!
Lisa, Nana Visitor, and me. Ok, the scan isn't great, but whatever... Nana looks fab with blonde hair, no?
Lisa, Chuck Cooper, and me. I'm not sure why this scan looks so bad...
Me, Deidre Goodwin, and Lisa. Ok, Deidre's a gorgeous gal, but she needs to lose those glasses... Very sweet lady though, and she was faaaaab as Velma.
Poster of Nana as Roxie... She doesn't actually look quite that scary in the actual picture... You can see a bit of Deidre as Velma in the left.
