Passion
This was another con of mine... I could not pass up seeing my 7th Les Miz alumni (I had forgotten Craig Schulman in my earlier count), 4th of the summer, so I haaad to find a way to see Judy Kuhn in Passion... not to mention it was also sporting a fabulous cast in Rebecca Luker (who I missed at the stage door) and Michael Cerveris. Well, the opportunity arose when I noticed there was a sale for $30 orchestra and box seats for the show... I promptly grabbed the last two remaining box seats for my parents for the date closest to their anniversary (ok, so they weren't even next to each other, but I'm not rich, and there wasn't a good selection by the time I realized this!), as well as an orchestra ticket for myself. This was seriously a fabulous cast, and I'm thrilled I was able to see it. I've actually been forbidden to put the Judy picture up on the 'net, so I'm respecting her wishes and not doing so... It's a tad blurry anyway...
Me and John Leslie Wolfe. Here was an unexpected surprise! I've now seen John five times in three different shows (Martin Guerre, To Kill a Mockingbird), more than anyone else! But I didn't realize he'd be in the cast, and I've missed him all four previous times at the stage door, so I was thriiiiilled when I caught him! He got my ramble (the funny thing being that I never knew he was in any of these shows 'til I went to see them) and seemed rather impressed. He's seriously a faaaab actor, so if you see him in anything, count yourself lucky... ;-)
Michael Cerveris and me. Ok, so he did look like a pirate in the official production pictures, but he just looks adorable here... ;-) He was toootally wonderful and a big sweety, and I'm thrilled I got to see him!
